Ryan, After Work

I’m pleased to announce that this drawing of my husband resting and thinking after work has been accepted into the group exhibition “Overtime: The Work of Living,” GenARTS’ 6th annual experimental exhibition, held at Works/San Jose. The opening will be Friday September 4th from 5-9pm in case you are local to the Bay area and want to comes see some local art. Works/San Jose is located downtown at 38 South Second St San Jose, CA 95113.

I’m looking forward to my second opportunity this year to see my work together with many other artists in a local gallery. Getting to participate in two local group shows this year makes me feel hopeful that I will get to share more of my artwork in local, in-person events in the future. There’s nothing that replaces getting to see and experience art in person, and all the ways the pieces communicate together on the walls, in space, in our eyes, in our minds, and in our feelings.
